Edward Eyth

Edward Eyth is a Professor of Design at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), holding this position since 2019. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the School of Design and School of Entertainment Arts, focusing on structured curriculum development and digital instructional content. Prior to academia, he held prominent roles including Creative Director at The Jim Henson Company (1995–2004), Front End Overlord/Production Designer at IAC (2007–2009), and Founder/Chief Creative Officer of E & J Fine Art, a firm recognized globally for figurative art and creative consulting.

Eyth earned a B.S. in Product Design from Art Center College of Design. His professional career spans 30+ years across entertainment, technology, and retail sectors, with clients including Disney, Jim Henson Company, Lucasfilm, and Universal Studios. He has designed for major film/TV projects, theme parks, retail environments, and scientific exhibits. Notable achievements include the 2013 U.S. Sport Art Museum's Sport Artist of the Year award and international exhibitions.

Research interests center on entertainment design, interactive media, and innovative creative technologies. His presentations address topics like VR sculpting, sci-fi-to-reality transitions, and design methodologies in entertainment. Eyth has contributed to over 15 major museum/exhibit projects worldwide, including collaborations with the Smithsonian Institute and IMAX.

He has led teams in global creative initiatives, managed client portfolios spanning film, toy manufacturing, and theme park development, and advised on branding strategies for corporations like IBM and Samsung. His work bridges traditional artistry with digital innovation, emphasizing cross-disciplinary collaboration.
