Dixie Shaw-Tillmon is a Professor of Instruction and Distinguished Teaching Professor in the The Writing Program at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), part of the University College. She holds a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Houston (1995) and an M.A. in English Literature with a specialization in Renaissance studies from Sam Houston State University (1997). Her master’s thesis, “Love and Nature in the Hesperides: Robert Herrick’s secular poetry,” reflects her scholarly focus on Renaissance literature.
