Rebecca Stortz, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Instruction at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), College of Education and Human Development. She specializes in literacy education, teaching children’s literature and writing development within UTSA’s educator preparation program. Additionally, she serves as the Director of the San Antonio Writing Project, a local site of the National Writing Project, and acts as a residency coordinator for East Central ISD and Somerset ISD.
