Chika Nweke

Chika Nweke is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemical Engineering at University College London (UCL). She serves as the departmental Director for Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) and Departmental Tutor. Her academic roles include Co-Chair of the Engineering Professors Council’s DEI Community of Special Interest and membership in IChemE’s Education Special Interest Group. She joined UCL in 2017 as a Teaching Fellow and advanced to her current position.

Her research focuses on environmental, industrial, and medical biotechnology, aligning with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being). She is a recognized educator, holding Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).
