Caroline McKaughan

Caroline McKaughan is a Scholar in Residence in the Department of Leadership Studies at The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina. A 2009 graduate of The Citadel’s Corps of Cadets, she rejoins the institution to advance research on leadership development outcomes for women in military education environments.

Her work focuses on evaluating leadership development outcomes for women graduates of military schools, collaborating with The Citadel’s Leadership Studies Department. As Academic Dean for Oak Ridge Military Academy (2009–present), she has cultivated leadership and academic excellence in grades 7–12. Research interests include gender dynamics in military education, organizational behavior, and educational leadership frameworks.
