Dr Bernd Irmer is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Management at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), within the Faculty of Business & Law. He holds a PhD in Organisational Psychology and has over 20 years of experience in research, policy advice, and strategic decision-making across workforce planning, employee engagement, and organisational development. His research focuses on improving employee well-being and productivity, particularly in understanding the implementation of people policies, supervisor behaviors, and learning design.
Dr Irmer’s academic background includes a PhD from the University of Queensland. He has collaborated with numerous national and international organizations, including Starbucks, CBA, and BHP Billiton, addressing workforce planning and human capital analytics. His teaching emphasizes transformative learning experiences, particularly through an international work-integrated learning program with the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.
