April Wiechmann, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Internal Medicine & Geriatrics at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, conducting clinical neuropsychology through the Geriatric Service Line. Her research examines neuropsychiatric symptoms in dementia, biomarker discovery, and cognitive assessment tools.
Wiechmann's NIH-funded projects investigate cholesterol/gender impacts on dementia symptoms, testosterone-neuropsychiatric relationships, and emergency preparedness in cognitive impairment.
