Anthony Setiawan

Anthony Setiawan is a Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Abdominal Imaging Division. He serves as Director of Abdominal Imaging at Parkland Hospital and oversees the Ultrasound Preceptor Program at UT Southwestern. At Parkland, he manages the Abdominal CT and Ultrasound sections of the Radiology Department and participates in committees like Parkland’s Performance Improvement Committee and Radiology Resident Program Committee.

Education: Earned his M.D. from Airlangga University (Indonesia), completed diagnostic radiology residency at Cook County Hospital (Chicago), and a fellowship in abdominal imaging at UT Southwestern. Prior to UT Southwestern (since 1979), he worked as an Assistant Professor of Anatomy at the University of Trisakti, Jakarta, and as a general practitioner.

Research focuses on ultrasound and abdominal CT imaging, particularly in gastrointestinal cancer. He has authored multiple original research articles. Professional memberships include the Texas Medical Association and Dallas County Medical Society.
