Allen Sens

Allen Sens is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Arts. He specializes in international relations with a focus on security studies.

Research Expertise: Armed conflict management, peace operations, nuclear weapons policy, European security architecture, and Canadian foreign/defence policy.

Awards:

• UBC Killam Teaching Prize (2003)
• Canadian Political Science Association Prize for Teaching Excellence (2018)

He recently led SSHRC-funded projects on knowledge mobilization through podcasting. Dr. Sens exclusively teaches undergraduate courses and does not supervise graduate students.
