Aaron Shaul

Aaron Shaul is a Lecturer in Double Bass (Classical & Jazz) at the Department of Music, California State University East Bay. He is a versatile musician with 20+ years of experience performing across classical, jazz, and contemporary genres. His professional engagements include orchestras like the Berkeley, Oakland, and Reno Symphonies, theater tours for 'Hamilton,' and recordings at Skywalker Sound Studios. He is also a bassist for the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus and performs with chamber groups like the Range Quintet.

• Education: AA from Mendocino College; BA in Double Bass Performance (cum laude) from CSU Hayward

Shaul's teaching spans K-12 and collegiate levels, including roles at Berkeley High, Sonoma State University, and Las Positas College. He maintains a private studio and has led bass coaching at Hayward La Honda Music Camp for over a decade.

Notable collaborations include work with 'Il Divo,' the Eagles' string orchestra, and recordings for Andrew Lippa's albums. He actively contributes to music education through clinics, workshops, and community performances.
