Ģirts Kolendo is a Scientific Assistant at Riga Technical University (RTU), affiliated with the Faculty of Civil and Mechanical Engineering and the Institute of Sustainable Building Materials and Engineering Systems. His research focuses on high-performance cement composites using recycled tire rubber, acoustic properties of construction materials, and 3D-printed models with gypsum-cement-pozzolan binders. He also teaches "Construction Technology and Occupational Safety" and leads laboratory works in "Concrete Science" and "Building Materials, Properties and Applications" (in English).
He began his doctoral studies in 2022 and has contributed to reviewing bachelor's theses. His work aligns with sustainable construction practices, emphasizing circular economy principles through material innovation. Kolendo holds an Mg. sc. ing. (Master of Science in Engineering) and is active in scientific collaborations, with ORCID (0009-0001-5709-4736) and Scopus IDs (58089397200).
