Assoc. Prof. Özer Çalış is a leading researcher in plant pathology at Akdeniz University, Faculty of Agriculture, with a career spanning over two decades. Recent publications analyze Trichoderma biocontrol, CRISPR-mediated resistance, and emerging avocado pathogens in Türkiye. He has supervised 16 theses and secured multiple TÜBİTAK and institutional grants.
