Çağdaş AYDIN

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çağdaş AYDIN is an academic faculty member at Kastamonu University's Faculty of Tourism, Department of Tourism Management. He joined Kastamonu University as a full-time Doctoral Faculty Member in 2023 and has held various academic and administrative positions including Assistant Director of the Application and Research Center and Deputy Department Chair. His academic career spans over a decade with previous appointments at Anadolu University and Kastamonu University.

Dr. AYDIN earned his PhD in Tourism Management from Anadolu University's Institute of Social Sciences (2016-2021), followed by a Master's degree in Tourism Management (2013-2016) from the same institution. His undergraduate education includes a Bachelor's degree in Travel Management from Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University's School of Tourism and Hotel Management (2010-2013) and an Associate degree in Travel-Tourism and Entertainment Services from Muğla Vocational School (2007-2010).

Dr. AYDIN's research focuses primarily on Tourism Management, Tourism Planning, Recreation Management, and Sustainable Tourism. His scholarly work examines various aspects of tourism development, destination management, cultural heritage tourism, and sustainable practices in the tourism sector. He has contributed significantly to understanding community-based tourism approaches, nature-based tourism potentials, and the historical evolution of tourism in Turkey.

His extensive publication record includes numerous journal articles, conference papers, book chapters, and books, with a particular emphasis on Turkish tourism history, destination management, and sustainable tourism practices. Dr. AYDIN's research demonstrates a strong commitment to exploring both theoretical frameworks and practical applications in tourism studies, with recent work focusing on climate change impacts on nature tourism, electronic word-of-mouth in hospitality, and community perspectives on tourism development.

Dr. AYDIN has been actively involved in academic service, serving as an editorial board member for the International Turkish World Tourism Research Journal since 2021. He has also participated extensively in academic conferences, both as an organizer and presenter, including the National Tourism Congresses and International Gastronomy Tourism Research Congresses. His academic contributions have earned him recognition in the field, with publications indexed in various national and international databases.

As an educator, Dr. AYDIN teaches a wide range of courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including Tourism Law and Legislation, Sustainable Tourism, Entrepreneurship, Tourism Consumer Behavior, and Guest Relations Management. He has also supervised academic works and served on thesis committees, contributing to the development of future tourism professionals.
