Åse Florholmen-Kjær

Åse Florholmen-Kjær is an Associate Professor affiliated with the Breast and Endocrine Surgery Research Group at UiT The Arctic University of Norway in Tromsø. Her research focuses on cancer biology, particularly epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer metastasis, and biomedical studies involving liver surgery and oxidative stress.

Key research areas include:

• Understanding EMT's role in breast cancer progression
• Investigating liver regeneration mechanisms post-hepatectomy
• Developing biochemical analysis techniques for cellular stress markers
