Ágnes Lindenbach is a University Professor at the University of Pécs, Faculty of Engineering and Informatics, Department for Civil Engineering. Her career spans over four decades in intelligent transport systems (ITS), traffic engineering, and road safety. She has held leadership roles across Hungarian academic and governmental institutions, including Head of Department and Director of Construction Institute at the University of Pécs, and Associate Professor at Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
Dr. Lindenbach's research focuses on ITS deployment, traffic management, and policy alignment with European Union directives. She has contributed to national reports on ITS implementation, including impact assessments for eCall systems and participation in EU projects like CONNECT and EasyWay. Her work emphasizes international cooperation, as reflected in her roles with the World Road Association (PIARC/AIPCR) and the European Committee for Standardization (CEN).
She has published extensively on Hungarian and international ITS strategies, road safety trends, and telematics applications in transportation. Her leadership extends to coordinating ERTICO-ITS Europe initiatives and advising the Ministry of National Development on ITS since 1998. Currently, she continues her academic role while managing Inter-ut XXI. Engineering and Consulting Ltd. since 2004.
