Dr. Nabeel Nasir is an Assistant Teaching Professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) in the Department of Computer Science. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Virginia (2024), an MTech from IIT Bombay, and a BTech from Cochin University. His research focuses on Cyber Physical Systems, IoT, and Distributed Systems, particularly in democratizing edge computing for IoT and enhancing data privacy in shared IoT environments. His contributions include the NexusEdge system and studies on low-power IoT devices' energy impacts.
