Fatima Bousadra is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Sherbrooke, Canada. She has held academic positions at the institution since 2009, progressing from Chargée de cours (2009-2010), to Professeure chargée d'enseignement (2012-2014), to Professeure adjointe (2014-2019), and currently serves as Professeure agrégée (Associate Professor) since 2019. She also holds leadership positions as Director of the Centre de recherche sur l'enseignement et l'apprentissage des sciences (CREAS) since 2021, having previously served as Co-director from 2018-2021. Her educational background includes: PhD in Education (2014) from University of Sherbrooke Master's in Education (2006) from University of Sherbrooke Diploma from École Supérieure de l'enseignement technique in Morocco (1993) Advanced Diploma in Industrial Electronics (2004) Dr. Bousadra's research focuses on the didactics of science and technology education, with particular emphasis on project-based teaching methods, curriculum development, and the integration of engineering practices in K-12 education. Her work spans multiple dimensions of science education including epistemology of science teaching, technological knowledge integration, and digital learning environments. She has extensively studied how technological and scientific knowledge is taught in Quebec's educational system, examining the relationship between disciplinary knowledge and teaching practices. Her research often addresses gender issues in STEM education, particularly strategies to increase girls' interest in engineering fields. Dr. Bousadra has secured significant research funding including a $1.25 million chair in women in science and engineering (2020-2025) from NSERC, and a $247,000 grant for the ProTUdeS project (2021-2023), which develops an interactive digital platform for STEM learning. Her research portfolio demonstrates consistent focus on improving science and technology education through innovative teaching approaches and curriculum development.
