Berit Bungum

Berit Bungum serves as Professor in Science Education at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). She leads the Resource Centre for Education in Mathematics, Science and Technology, which functions as a critical bridge between university research and school practice. Her work emphasizes practical application of educational research to improve K-12 science teaching.

Her research focuses on quantum physics pedagogy, climate change education, and computational thinking integration. The ReleQuant project developed research-based resources for quantum physics and relativity teaching, while KlimaDidakt disseminates climate research to schools. Bungum actively supervises master's and PhD students while teaching RFEL3100 (research methods in mathematics and science education).
