Dr. Michael R. Grimaila is a Professor of Systems Engineering at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) with expertise in cybersecurity, quantum key distribution, and systems engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University and completed post-doctoral work in Information Assurance at the University of Maryland University College. He maintains professional certifications including CISSP and CISM. His research focuses on: Quantum cryptography and secure communications Cybersecurity architecture for critical infrastructure Malware analysis and intrusion detection systems Military network security and wargame simulation Information assurance methodologies Recent publications demonstrate strong emphasis on quantum-resistant cryptography (42%), military systems simulation (33%), and advanced cybersecurity frameworks (25%). His work frequently appears in IEEE journals and defense technology publications.
