Dr. Michael R. Grimaila is a Professor of Systems Engineering at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) with expertise in cybersecurity, quantum key distribution, and systems engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University and completed post-doctoral work in Information Assurance at the University of Maryland University College. He maintains professional certifications including CISSP and CISM.
His research focuses on:
- Quantum cryptography and secure communications
- Cybersecurity architecture for critical infrastructure
- Malware analysis and intrusion detection systems
- Military network security and wargame simulation
- Information assurance methodologies
