Clemens Nylandsted Klokmose is an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Aarhus University. His research focuses on collaborative systems, ubiquitous computing, and human-computer interaction, particularly in educational and cross-device contexts. He leads projects such as CoTinker and CCTD (Center for Computational Thinking & Design) , aiming to enhance computational thinking and adaptive interfaces. Klokmose’s work spans hybrid collaboration tools, gesture-based analytics platforms, and participatory design methodologies. Selected projects include DashSpace (2025) for immersive analytics, TableBot (2024) for telepresence robotics, and MyWebstrates (2024) for local-first software. He collaborates extensively with educators and researchers to bridge theory and practice in computing education. His contributions address challenges in multi-device ecosystems, adaptive UI design, and ethical AI integration. He has been involved in research initiatives since 2012, including Shared Surfaces and PLACED , exploring activity-centric digital services. His work emphasizes user-centered design principles and real-world applicability across domains like libraries, classrooms, and workplaces.
