Evey Huang is a Research Fellow at the Kellogg School of Management and the Northwestern Institute on Complex Systems (NICO) at Northwestern University, where she collaborates with Prof. Brian Uzzi. She holds a Ph.D. from Northwestern’s Technology and Social Behavior program, a joint degree in Computer Science and Communication, advised by Prof. Liz Gerber and Prof. Matt Easterday. Her work focuses on human-AI collaboration, design research, and computational social science, aiming to enhance learning, reflection, and collaboration in domains like entrepreneurship and scientific discovery.
Her research explores multimodal AI applications for understanding team dynamics and reimagining scientific collaboration. Key contributions include proactive AI systems for adaptive coaching and context-aware emoji recommendations. She has presented at conferences such as IC2s2, CHI, and CSCW, and her work on intelligent coaching systems received an Honorable Mention at DIS2024.
