Nuno Humberto Costa Pereira serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal's School of Technology, having completed his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Lisbon in 2007. He directed the School of Technology from 2012 to 2020 and maintains active research engagement in engineering disciplines. His educational foundation centers on a 2007 PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Lisbon, establishing expertise in experimental engineering methodologies. Research prioritizes fluid dynamics and turbine systems, with emphasis on cross-flow hydraulics, air-water interactions, and experimental measurement techniques. Key investigations include parametric studies of nozzles, two-dimensional jet analysis using conductivity probes, and flow direction quantification in turbine applications. This work directly supports sustainable energy infrastructure development. His publication record comprises 3 journal articles and 11 conference proceedings, consistently addressing experimental mechanics in renewable energy contexts with focus on precision measurement and system optimization. He actively contributes to major research initiatives including Build2050 (sustainable building training), MARE Cooperating for Excellence in Research & Innovation, and MARE EULAC for Europe-Latin America energy transition infrastructure collaboration.
