Stephanie M. Ortiz is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, specializing in the everyday reproduction of racism and sexism through qualitative methods. She earned her PhD in Sociology from Texas A&M University (2020) and an MA in Ethnic Studies from San Francisco State University (2014). Recent publications address systemic racism in gaming culture, gendered consequences of pornography addiction, and the interplay of race and queerness in institutional settings.
