Nicole Bulawa is a Lecturer in Marketing at Lancaster University Management School (LUMS), joining in April 2024. She holds a Ph.D. from ESCP Business School Berlin, where her research focused on market trajectories, practices, and value in technology-driven contexts. Her work has been published in journals like Journal of Business Research , Marketing Theory , and Electronic Markets , alongside two book chapters. Nicole’s research interests center on sustainable market dynamics, particularly in transportation sectors like electric vehicles and sleeper trains. She currently teaches MKTG101 - Introduction to Marketing , MKTG229 - Routes to Market , and MKTG301 - Strategic Marketing Research . Her funded projects include LUMS Pump Prime Scheme grants (2024) and ERF project funding (2020–2024), addressing topics such as market malpractice, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and dynamic value emergence in e-services. Nicole is open to supervising PhD students exploring market dynamics, sustainable markets, market infrastructure, or market malpractice using qualitative or mixed-methods approaches. She is affiliated with the Centre for Consumption Insights and participates in interdisciplinary research initiatives like the Pentland Centre . Her recent activities include peer-review for journals like Journal of Consumer Behaviour and Electronic Markets , as well as conference participation at events such as the 40th IMP Conference and International Marketing Trends Conference 2025 .
