Steven J. Balla is an Associate Professor of Political Science, Public Policy, and International Affairs at George Washington University, and Co-Director of the George Washington Regulatory Studies Center. He holds a Ph.D. from Duke University and specializes in transparency, participation, and responsiveness in policymaking, with a focus on Greater China and the United States. His work includes congressional testimony on regulatory processes and Fulbright Scholarships at Peking University and Nankai University.
