Jenna L. Hennebry is a Professor at the Balsillie School of International Affairs and Associate Dean at the School of International Policy and Governance at Wilfrid Laurier University. She also serves as Program Coordinator for the Women and Gender Studies program in the Faculty of Arts. Hennebry co-founded the International Migration Research Centre , the Migrant Worker Health Project , and the Gender+Migration Hub, funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. Education: PhD in Sociology (University of Western Ontario, 2006) MA in Sociology (University of Waterloo, 1998) BA in Sociology (University of Waterloo, 1995) Research Focus centers on migrant worker rights, labor migration governance, gender and migration, health and social protection, and transnationalism. Her work addresses structural vulnerabilities, policy coherence, and rights-based approaches to migration systems. Scientific Contributions include publications in International Migration , Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies , and technical reports for UN Women and the International Organization for Migration (IOM). Key projects involve "Mediating Mobility: Temporary Migration and Private Sector Influence in Canada's Immigration System" and "Promoting and Protecting Women Migrant Workers’ Labour and Human Rights" (Mexico, Moldova, Philippines).
