Prof. Jordi Caballé is a Professor at the Department of Economics and Economic History, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). He is affiliated with the Grup de Recerca d'Anàlisi Macroeconòmica and the Center for the study of the Organizations and Decisions in Economics (CODE). His research focuses on taxation, intergenerational mobility, wealth dynamics, and macroeconomic policy. Caballé holds a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania (1989) and has served in roles like ICREA Academia Researcher (2010–2014). He leads projects on labor markets, education outcomes, and fiscal policy impacts. Notable contributions include studies on wealth inequality, emigration effects, and tax enforcement mechanisms. Education: PhD in Economics from UPenn (1989), Master of Arts in Economics (1986), and undergraduate degree in Economics from Universitat de Barcelona (1982).
