Bruce Bird is a Professor of Accounting at the University of West Georgia’s Richards College of Business, Department of Accounting and Finance. He holds a J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law (1984), an M.S.T. in Taxation (1987), and a Bachelor’s in Economics from Vanderbilt University (1979). His teaching portfolio includes courses like Principles of Accounting, Tax Accounting for Individuals, Professional Seminars, and Sustainability Accounting. He has advised numerous internship programs (ACCT-4286, ACCT-6286) across multiple academic terms.
Research interests span tax compliance strategies, nonprofit accounting, sustainability reporting, and corporate governance. His work often explores intersections between tax law, public policy, and financial regulation, with a focus on practical implications for businesses and individuals.
