Professor Liz Wilding is a leading academic at the University of Reading, specializing in Transnational Education (TNE) and international education policy. She serves as Programme Director for the ISLI Transnational Education Programme and the NUIST Reading Academy, a Sino-UK joint educational institute in Nanjing. Her roles include Module Convenor (IF0NU1) and leadership in TNE initiatives. Wilding holds a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, MA from SOAS University of London, and TESOL certification from UCLA. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and co-convenes BALEAP's Transnational Education special interest group and the TNE Hub. Her research focuses on TNE dynamics, student transitions to higher education, and technology-enhanced learning methodologies. Her work is supported by grants like the British Council ‘Going Global Partnerships’ initiative, funding projects such as developing EAP assessment literacy in UK-China TNE collaborations. She has presented globally on TNE challenges, post-COVID educational adaptation, and cross-border partnerships, contributing to over 20 peer-reviewed publications since 2007. Wilding’s contributions extend to editorial roles (InForm Journal) and innovative initiatives like MOOC development. She has advised on international student integration and food transition programs, reflecting her holistic approach to student welfare and academic success.
