Dr. Isabel Crespi Riutort is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Catalan Philology and General Linguistics, Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB). She holds a PhD from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and is a member of the GRESIB research group and the NEON/FARM networks. Her research focuses on theoretical syntax, neo-constructionist approaches, and Romance languages microvariation. Affiliations: GRESIB, NEON, FARM, Centre for Catalan Studies (Queen Mary University of London) Education: PhD in Cognitive Science & Language (UAB, 2020), Master's in Theoretical & Applied Linguistics (UPF, 2015), BA in Catalan/Spanish Studies (UAB, 2014) Her research explores syntax-semantic interfaces, passive constructions in Catalan/Romance languages, and verb aspectuality. She also develops language teaching materials for primary/tertiary education. Previously coordinated Catalan Studies at Queen Mary University (2020–2022). Professional Activities: Participated in international conferences, held research stays at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, and received FPU predoctoral scholarship from Spain's Ministry of Education.
