The 2025 chapter \"Iha\" for The Oxford Guide to the Papuan Languages extends this focus to phonological and semantic dimensions across the language family. Dr. Walker currently leads DFG project \"Taking spoken language seriously\" and previously collaborated on \"Exceptions rule! Lexical restrictions on grammatical structure\". Her guest research at LACITO (2022) and co-editorship of Open Linguistics special issues demonstrate active engagement in international linguistic discourse and collaborative grant-funded research.
