Ronald S. Harichandran serves as Dean of the Tagliatela College of Engineering and Vice Provost for Research at the University of New Haven. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from MIT and previously served as a professor and department chair at Michigan State University for 16 years. His technical expertise spans structural engineering, earthquake engineering, pavement engineering, and fire engineering, with over 170 publications in peer-reviewed journals and technical reports. He has pioneered initiatives such as integrated technical communication programs, entrepreneurial mindset development through e-learning modules, and mentorship programs. Key achievements include securing $544,000 in congressionally directed grants for cybersecurity infrastructure and co-leading a $4M NSF Scholarship for Service grant.
