Kristina Rewin Ciesielski is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of New Mexico. She holds a Ph.D. in Biological Brain Sciences from the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology, Polish Science Academy, Warsaw. Her research focuses on clinical psychology, particularly pediatric neuroscience and developmental psychopathology, with an emphasis on understanding the neural mechanisms underlying anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). She employs advanced neuroimaging techniques (MEG, ERP, MRI, fMRI, DSI) to study brain networks involved in inhibitory control and their deviations in clinical populations. Her work aims to identify heritable neural patterns in OCD to improve early intervention strategies. Advising and Mentorship: She actively mentors graduate students in clinical and developmental psychology, with a focus on pediatric neuroscience.
