Prof. Isabel Herguera is a Professor of Experimental Animation at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM) since 2003. She holds a Fine Arts degree from Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and Animation training from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). Former director of Animac International Animation Festival (Cataluña, Spain) Experienced coordinator of Laboratory of Moving Image (Arteleku, San Sebastian) Teaching faculty at National Institute of Design (India) and visiting professor at China Central Academy of Fine Arts (Beijing) Her research focuses on experimental animation as a medium for cultural storytelling and multispecies narratives , blending traditional techniques with digital transformation.
