Nikolaos Miridakis is an Associate Professor at the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering, School of Engineering, University of West Attica. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Piraeus (2012) and an M.Sc. in Networking and Data Communications from Kingston University, U.K. (2008). Previously, he served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of West Attica (since 2018), Adjunct Lecturer at Piraeus University of Applied Sciences (2007–2018), and Distinguished Associate Researcher at Jinan University's Institute of Physical Internet (2019–2022). Since September 2023, he serves as Deputy Member of the Hellenic Authority for Communication Security and Privacy (ADAE). Research Interests focus on wireless communication networks, statistical signal processing, green communications, massive MIMO, cognitive radio systems, interference mitigation, and multi-carrier communications. His work emphasizes energy-efficient 6G paradigms, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS), and secure communication protocols. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and has held editorial roles for IEEE Communications Letters (2019–2022) and IEEE Transactions on Communications (2022–2025). He received the Exemplary Reviewer Award from IEEE and Elsevier in 2017. His publications span over 150 articles in top journals/conferences, with a focus on network optimization, spectrum efficiency, and emerging 5G/6G technologies. Professional activities include serving on technical program committees for major telecom conferences and reviewing for prestigious journals like IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology . His research integrates theoretical analysis with practical applications in UAV-assisted networks, vehicular cloud computing, and satellite-terrestrial integration.
