Perttu Pauli Johannes Anttonen serves as a Postdoctoral Researcher within the Organismal and Evolutionary Biology Research Programme at the University of Helsinki's Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences. He is affiliated with the Environmental and Ecological Statistics Group, focusing on quantitative approaches to ecological research. His research interests center on ecological modeling and statistical methods in evolutionary biology, with particular emphasis on environmental statistics applications. His work bridges theoretical ecology with advanced statistical techniques to address complex biological questions. Currently participating in the ERC-funded project "Predective Understanding of the effects" (May 2024-April 2029) under Professor J. Vanhatalo's leadership, Anttonen contributes to this European Commission initiative exploring predictive ecological modeling. The project involves international collaboration with researchers from multiple institutions. As a core member of the Environmental and Ecological Statistics Group, he engages in developing statistical frameworks for ecological data analysis. His work supports the research programme's mission to advance understanding of organismal responses to environmental change through rigorous quantitative approaches.
