Prof. Mariusz Zdrojek serves as Vice-Dean for Science and Head of the Nanostructure Laboratory at the Department of Structural Research, Faculty of Physics, Warsaw University of Technology. His research focuses on carbon nanostructures (carbon nanotubes, graphene), 2D materials like MoS₂ and black phosphorus, and their composites. Key interests include optical, electronic, and thermal properties of these materials, alongside advancements in nanoscale device technologies. He has secured significant funding for projects such as Graftech and Lider, and holds patents (2 granted, 2 applications). With 110+ publications, an h-index of 25 (Scopus) and 26 (WoS), his work bridges fundamental research and practical applications in nanotechnology and materials science. Research achievements include pioneering studies on phonon anharmonicity in 2D heterostructures, graphene-based sensors, and electromagnetic shielding composites. His leadership in the Laboratorium Aplikacji Grafenu Płatkowego I Materiałów 2D drives innovation in nanotechnology. Collaborations span academia and industry, addressing challenges in energy, electronics, and environmental sustainability. Education and qualifications include Ph.D., D.Sc., and engineering degrees.
