Elin Olaug Rosvold is a Professor in General Practice at the Department of General Practice, Institute of Health and Society (Helsam), University of Oslo, since 2010. She currently serves as Head of the Institute of Health and Society (2023–) and previously held leadership roles such as Pro-Dean for Medical Studies and Head of the Professional Study in Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine (2019–2022). Her career at UiO spans from doctoral research fellow (1993) to researcher, lecturer, associate professor, and professor, with a focus on medical education, interprofessional training, and primary care research. Education: PhD in Medicine, University of Oslo, 2002 Cand.med. (Medical Degree), University of Oslo, 1991 Research Interests: Rosvold’s work centers on medical education, particularly interprofessional education and training for healthcare students. She explores prescription practices in primary care, health complaints in adolescents, and the health of physicians, with a focus on sustainable healthcare education models. Her studies often employ simulation-based learning, cross-sectional surveys, and longitudinal analyses. Publications Trends: Recent articles emphasize interprofessional education, medication management in elderly patients, and adolescent health behaviors. Key themes include healthcare simulation, Nordic primary care comparisons, and the link between adolescent health outcomes and future welfare dependence. Labs & Teams: Rosvold leads the Institute of Health and Society and was the first Head of the Norwegian Research School in General Practice (2013–18). She contributes to national committees like the RETHOS program group for medical education and the UHR Disciplinary Strategic Unit for Health and Social Care.
