Dr. Sophie Dobiasch is a clinician scientist and Junior Group Leader at the Institute of Radiation Medicine (IRM), Helmholtz Munich, and the Department of Radiation Oncology, Klinikum rechts der Isar, Technical University Munich (TUM). Since 2015, she has focused on translational research in personalized radiooncology for pancreatic cancer, integrating clinical practice and experimental studies. Education: Medical doctor (MD) at Ruprecht-Karls University Heidelberg (2008-2015). Her research explores mechanisms of radioresistance in pancreatic cancer, leveraging targeted therapies, cytotoxic agents, and herbal substances. She employs advanced techniques such as small animal imaging and high-precision irradiation to bridge lab discoveries with clinical applications. Recent publications highlight her work on phosphoproteomic analysis, radiosensitization using Curcumin, and DNA repair pathways in pancreatic cancer. These studies align with broader themes in radiation oncology, molecular biology, and translational medicine. Scientific Awards: Award for 2nd best young investigator talk (2018). Dobiasch collaborates with networks including the German Consortium for Translational Cancer Research (DKTK), SFB 1321, and the European Pancreatic Cancer Center. Her intercultural experience spans stays in Japan, Great Britain, India, and Nepal.
