Dr Raul Gomez is a Lecturer at the University of Liverpool, specialising in electoral behaviour, public opinion, political parties, and statistical methods. He holds a PhD in Social and Political Sciences from the European University Institute (Florence) and has been affiliated with the University of Liverpool since 2015. His research intersects sociology, social psychology, and comparative political science, with a strong focus on quantitative and mixed-methods empirical research. He is also engaged in editorial work, serving as Editor of the European Journal of Political Research Political Data Yearbook since 2022 and previously as an editorial board member of Frontiers in Political Science . His publications span high-impact journals and focus on themes such as job insecurity and radical voting, EU politicization and Euroscepticism, secularisation and right-wing support, and gender gaps in political interest. His work is widely read and cited, with several articles gaining significant attention on academic and social platforms.
