Dr Dulekha Kasturiratne is a full-time Associate Professor in Marketing at the University of Plymouth's Plymouth Business School (part of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Business). She has been a permanent academic staff member since March 2007 and holds leadership roles such as Programme Manager for BA Marketing (2010–2012), Dissertation Supervisor at undergraduate/postgraduate levels, and PhD supervisor. Her teaching includes modules like 'Introduction to Marketing', 'Marketing Management', and 'Buyer Behaviour & Relationships'. Her research focuses on marketing strategies, supply chain integration, consumer behavior, and sustainable practices within industries like tea, agrifood, and luxury fashion. Notable areas include knowledge governance in supply chains, cultural influences on social media advertising, and innovation-export linkages. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in sustainable consumption and economic growth. Recent publications (2023–2025) explore digital payment strategies for financial inclusion, peer learning in food sharing organizations, and sociocultural factors in Saudi Arabian clothing markets. Her earlier research includes quality improvement in Sri Lankan tea production and ethical consumption dynamics. Dr Kasturiratne actively advises students and engages in professional roles such as Personal Tutor and Placements Tutor, emphasizing practical industry connections. Her academic contributions bridge theoretical marketing concepts with real-world applications in global supply chains and cultural marketing contexts.
