Current projects examine online inventory transparency, mass-customization guardrails, and optimal timing of product versioning. His studies integrate analytical modeling with empirical data to derive managerial guidelines for retailers, platforms, and service providers. Publication Trends: Across 15 recent articles (2004-2024), Pangburn addresses pricing and inventory intersections, sustainability considerations (take-back programs, packaging waste), and emerging service models (ridesharing, streaming rentals). A growing strand leverages AI techniques for feature selection and explores healthcare-service implications of platform economies. Doctoral Advising: He has mentored students who co-author research in leading journals; advisees include Monire Jalili, Saeed Piri, Meysam Rabiee, and Mohsen Mirhashemi.
