Mattias Lindahl is Professor at Linköping University's Division of Environmental Technology and Management and Visiting Professor at Luleå University of Technology. A globally recognized expert in circular economy and eco-design, he develops sustainable business models integrating product-service engineering. His research addresses plastic waste reduction, remanufacturing systems, and policy frameworks for resource efficiency.
Leadership: Led the Mistra REES research program (2015-2023) and contributed to ISO standards development for circular economy (ISO 59000 series). Served on Sweden's Government Delegation for Circular Economy (2022-2024).
Research Focus: Investigates industrial transformation through circular strategies, including workwear reuse systems and electric vehicle component recycling. Collaborates extensively with manufacturing industries to implement sustainable practices.
