Naomi Alormele is a Senior Lecturer in Social Care at the University of Northampton, within the School of Social, Therapies & Communities. Her recent publication in Higher Education (2024) examines the nuanced ways Black women navigate institutional barriers, highlighting emotional labor, resilience, and systemic inequities. This work reflects a consistent thematic focus on voice, agency, and structural transformation in academic environments. She is an active academic voice, having delivered invited talks such as Amplifying Black voices: navigating spaces of safety and fear in the UK (2023) and participated in organizing research events like Challenging Unequal Academic Citizenship .
