Marie Nilsberth is a Professor of Educational Work Research at Karlstad University's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Educational Studies. She leads multiple nationally and internationally funded research projects focusing on digitalization in education, inclusive practices, and teacher professionalization. Current projects include EQUITÉ (equity in tech-rich classrooms), Nordic basic schools as inclusive sites, and teacher roles on social media. Her work emphasizes video-based studies, participatory methodologies, and collaboration with Nordic institutions through QUINT (Quality in Nordic Teaching). Key areas of research include: digital literacy practices, smartphone use in classrooms, policy implementation in education, and evolving teacher-student dynamics in connected classrooms.
