Her work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical classroom applications, emphasizing student-centered approaches that move beyond basic reading comprehension to meaningful literary encounters. Analysis of her publication trends reveals consistent focus on language didactics, particularly German and Swedish language teaching. Her work shows evolution from literary analysis (early career) to practical applications in language teaching methodology. Recent publications emphasize digital learning environments, hybrid teaching models, and contemporary issues in language education. Her research consistently connects literary theory with practical classroom applications, demonstrating how narrative techniques can enhance language learning experiences. As Program Council Leader and Program Manager, Marx Åberg supervises independent student work within the subject teacher program for German. She leads the Center for Subject Didactic Research in Arts and Humanities, coordinating interdisciplinary research across language disciplines. Her educational leadership extends to the Nordic Master's Program for Language Teachers, shaping teacher education across multiple languages. Marx Åberg's research is primarily conducted through the Center for Subject Didactic Research in Arts and Humanities (Cähl), where she collaborates with colleagues on projects examining language teaching methodology, literary instruction, and innovative approaches to language education.
