Thomas P. Keenan is a Professor at the University of Calgary, affiliated with both the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape and the Department of Computer Science. He holds prestigious fellowships from the Canadian Information Processing Society, Canadian Defence and Foreign Affairs Institute, and is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Military Security and Strategic Studies. He authored over 500 academic works and the influential book Technocreep , which critiques how technology encroaches on privacy and societal norms. Awarded for his contributions, Keenan’s work bridges technical innovation with ethical and societal implications. He actively engages in public discourse via international speaking engagements and media commentary.
