Jorge E. Hirter is a Lecturer at the Lucerne School of Design, Film and Art (part of Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts). He holds a B.A. in Economics from Columbia University, an M.A. (lic. rer. pol.) from the University of Basel, and an MBA from INSEAD. With over two decades of professional experience, he worked at Swiss Bank Corporation (UBS), Procter & Gamble, and Roland Berger, before founding Hirter Consulting in 2003, specializing in strategy and organizational design advisory services. Since 2007, he has been actively involved in teaching and leadership within the Design Management, International program, contributing to its curriculum development. His research focuses on integrating design methodologies into leadership education, particularly in addressing complex organizational challenges. Notable projects include 'Visual Sense-Making in the Innovation- and Strategy Process,' emphasizing tools for accelerating innovation. His academic contributions include co-authoring foundational texts for the Design Management program's educational framework. Proficient in four languages (English, Spanish, German, French), he serves on the leadership team of the Design Management program, bridging academic and practical dimensions of management education.
