Alberto Comelli is a Full Professor at the Department of Law, Political and International Studies of the University of Parma , where he has been a faculty member since 2003 (Associate Professor) and 2020 (Full Professor). He co-founded the department and leads research on Tax Law , with a focus on Environmental Taxation , European Tax Policy , and Value Added Tax (VAT) . Comelli's research explores intersections between Climate Change and Artificial Intelligence in taxation. He has organized and presented at over 20 international conferences since 2021, including the Global Conference on Environmental Taxation in South Africa and Brazil. His work addresses tax incentives for sustainability , cross-border tax harmonization , and procedural reforms in tax systems. His scientific award includes the Presea Vis Essendi (2023) from the Ibero-American Lawyers Federation.
